Naturopath reveals the three best tips

Dr. Janine Bowring, a Canada-based naturopathic doctor, has shared her top three tips with us which she says makes you poop immediately.

“NO. 1 is figs,” Bowring explained in a TikTok last week that has already reached over 4 million views.

“Figs are fantastic, they are high in fiber and are great for helping with constipation,” she continued.

Six dried figs are said to contain about 5 grams of fiber the American Heart Association – that is more than 17% of the recommended daily fiber value of 25 to 30 grams.

The second best tip to go straight to number 2: drink water.

“Of course, you need to be adequately hydrated with high-quality water to keep everything moving,” Bowring noted.

And finally, the doctor claims that adding olive oil to your coffee will really help move things along.

“Olive oil in coffee, yes, that’s a recipe I shared, it also helps with weight loss,” she reported, referring to a 2018 study published in the European Journal of Nutrition.

The study found that consuming extra virgin olive oil can help reduce body fat and lower blood pressure in women.

And it looks like Bowring is on to something – to YOURSELFBecause of its high fat content, olive oil can “stimulate motility in the colon,” making it easier to lose weight.

In the comments section of Bowring’s TikTok, a few people shared what makes her tick them go to the toilet immediately.

“Shopping at Target,” one person laughed.

Another joked: “#4 gets Starbucks and walks around the mall.”

“Sooooo Taco Bell should be on the list???” someone else wondered.

The post reached out to Bowring for comment.

This isn’t the first time the naturopathic doctor has shared her insights about bowel movements.

In June, Bowring explained the viral “ghost poop” phenomenon: claim that If you experience this, it may mean that you are one of the “healthiest people on the planet.”

The not-so-scary term refers to what happens when you go to the toilet and find there are no poop there.

The same applies if you wipe and there is nothing there.

“A ‘ghost poop’ is a term that describes when a person’s stool sinks to the bottom of the toilet and seemingly disappears without a trace,” says gut health expert and registered dietitian Julie Balsamo said The Post at the time.

Bowring said that thanks to a healthy diet and sleep cycle, poop goes down the toilet bowl abyss.

“That’s because you have this fiber, you have enough of these essential fatty acids, your circadian rhythm is in harmony with nature, with the light-dark rhythm of the day, and you have this ghost poop,” she explains.
