National Signing Day: Texas A&M Aggies, Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners tap soccer stars from the Houston area

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, it’s the holidays, but this time we’re talking about a moment when talented Houston-area athletes and their families saw all they’ve worked towards together on the Day. National Early Signing.

Here are some names to check out.

Dickinson High School

Donovan Green finished tight and offensive lead PJ Williams was among the standout signings with Texas A&M University.

According to the rating of ESPN, Donovan is ranked as the number 1 driver in the country.

PJ is also about to have a successful year, as the man who led Dickinson to the second round of the state knockout and was named the 2022 Armored American.

North Shore . High School

Defender Kristopher Ross will sign with the University of Texas at ISD Galena Park.

His background includes helping the North Shore reach a 14-1 record in 2020 and being named the Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Year 2021.

Clear Springs High School

Aggies is adding quite a few star rookies to its team.

Noah Thomas, a 4-star wide receiver, will be signing with Texas A&M, and well, his numbers posted in the tweet below speak for themselves.

Spring High School

You’ll want to keep an eye on these names and one of them is in town. Whose house can you say?

  • Dorian Friend – University of Houston
  • Bishop Davenport – Wyoming
  • Myron Carter – State of New Mexico

Atascocita High School

Stay tuned for Kam Dewberry.

Kam is one of the most coveted offensive line rookies in the nation. But he still left his mother about where he was going, posting only one tweet with three choices: University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M and University of Texas.

The four-star player will make his decision at 3 pm

Summer Creek High School

We know we’ve talked a lot about Aggieland, but the Longhorns will also be adding some Houston-area talent to their roster.

Humble’s Kelvin Banks Jr, a five-star offensive player, has committed to the University of Texas.

Klein Cain High School

Another Longhorn is on the list! Running Back Jaydon Blue is at the University of Texas and is 269th in ESPN’s 300 recruiting rankings.

Manvel . High School

Like other schools, Manvel’s talent is also great.

  • King Isaiah – Central Arkansas
  • Justin Medlock – dropped out of the University of Miami and is expected to announce where he’s going at 3pm

Katy High School

Bobby Taylor, a star winger, signed early Wednesday morning with Texas A&M.

Bobby was one of six Katy football players participating in Early Signing Day.

The high school student pledges to be Aggie on February 24, 2021, his mother’s birthday. His mother is the owner of Turkey Leg Hut Nakia Price.

It’s been a big year for Bobby, who thought he wouldn’t be able to fit in with his teammates again after having surgery on a hand injury earlier in the season.

He wore his Katy jersey for the last time as the Tigers wrapped up their season.
