Naples teenagers win $1 million in scratch game

NAPLES, Fla. –Two people, one of them from Naples, claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery scratch-off game.

Naples resident Yadira Mendez Rodriguez, 19, won the top prize from the FASTEST road rake to $1,000,000.

Mendez Rodriguez chose to receive his prize as a one-time, one-time payment of $790,000. She purchased her winning ticket from Shell Mall, located at 2493 Trade Center Way.

Roberta Montgomery, 66, of Gainesville, also chose to receive her award as a one-time, one-time payment.

Each retailer that sells the winning ticket will receive a $2,000 bonus.

The scratch game’s overall win rate is one in 2.79.
