A MOTHER has revealed that her twins are so identical that she relies on nail polish to tell them apart.

The woman, named Lacei, then explained, “Drawing two toenails on the twins so we can tell them apart.”

The caption alongside the clip read: “I thought fraternal twins weren’t supposed to look identical.

We ordered ID anklets, but until then we’re going for painted toenails.”

The video has since been viewed over 692,000 times and has been inundated with comments.

And it seems the confused mom wasn’t alone in her genius hack for keeping her daughters apart.

In the comments, another mother of twins commented, “I kept the hospital ID on their feet until I saw one of them has a birthmark on his hand.”

In response, Lacei replied, “Nice! I’m still hoping to find a mole or birthmark on one of them, but no luck so far.”

A second wrote: “That’s what we did, one in purple and one in pink,” to which Lacei replied: “Phew – it doesn’t make me feel so alone.

“Her little hospital bracelets and anklets kept falling off and that’s all we could think about!”

Meanwhile, a third remarked: “I’m a twin and my mum fed me twice because she couldn’t tell us apart.”

Another wrote: “I used scrunchies on one foot of each one. One pink and one purple.

Elsewhere, another added: “My mum did the same thing to my triplets, she didn’t trust anyone to change the bracelets. She stopped when they were two.”
