She revealed that her mother-in-law said she was the reason her father left the family at a young age, among other disturbing allegations, but that the woman had found peace with the situation.

The unnamed woman shared her story on Reddit, explaining that her mother-in-law started acting cold after she and her husband deepened their relationship and her comments became more and more hostile. time.

She recalls: “The thing she said since my father left when I was young, it could have been a sign that I didn’t have children because as a child I was too stubborn so I kicked him out. ,” she recalled.

The poster said their relationship culminated when her mother-in-law accused her of “poisoning” her son and turning against his family.

“She called me ‘disgusting’ by inches from my face [and] stupid, “and it was my fault that my father left,” she said, before noting that her husband had to drag his mother away.

Fortunately, the woman started seeing a therapist and opened her eyes: Her mother-in-law has been jealous of her happy marriage since her breakup.

The woman feels safe enough to attend Thanksgiving dinner in the presence of her mother-in-law, but another confrontation remains.

“We shared family photos and my husband’s uncle showed me his siblings and I was delighted by the resemblance between them,” the woman explained.

“My mother-in-law snatched his phone, looked at me and told me I wasn’t invited to see them.

“I will never be allowed to see these relatives,” she continued.

The daughter-in-law confessed that she was upset, but then received the necessary confirmation: She had really done nothing wrong to deserve this treatment.

“A woman I had never spoken to before told me that my mother-in-law had humiliated her like this many times. [and said] She is jealous of those attached to her family,” the poster noted.

She added that her mother-in-law acted violently towards her following the revelation.

“Now I can say: ‘I tried.’ But I’m done.

“She needs help but I won’t be there to allow her to hurt me further,” the woman concluded.

Reddit users when reading the story congratulated the daughter-in-law for trying for herself and always trying her best.

In a comment under her post, she told other users that her mother-in-law would not be welcome around her children due to her bad behavior.

Similarly, another woman don’t let her mother-in-law around her new born unsupervised because she refuses to drink the breast milk she provides.
