Murder suspect killed: The wanted man Osvaldo Rodriguez was fatally hit by a van in Harlingen

Around 6 p.m., police responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian crash on the North 77 Expressway.
Investigators said a man was getting out of a vehicle parked on the shoulder when he was hit by a passing van and killed.
The man was later identified by Harlingen police as fugitive Osvaldo Rodriguez, 41.
Earlier that day, police said they were looking for Osvaldo Rodriguez for allegedly shooting and killing his wife Magdalena “Maggie” Rodriguez, 41, during a domestic violence incident in the 10200 block of Krystine in Mont Belvieu.
Police said an arrest warrant had been issued for the 41-year-old for the murder of a $2 million bond.
