Murder suspect Benjamin Pierce is dead after being found unresponsive in a holding cell, says Sheriff Ed Gonzalez
Deputies said Benjamin Pierce, 39, killed his wife Leslie Ann Pierce on Friday morning.

Investigators said Leslie Ann was a governess at Katy ISD.
The couple’s 7-year-old child was in the home at Painted Meadow Circle and deputies said he may have witnessed the attack.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Benjamin was placed in a solitary confinement cell and found unresponsive around 4:30 a.m
Prison staff attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to Gonzalez, there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play.
An outside law enforcement agency will investigate the prison death.
