When playing a 2v2 match MultiVersus, it would be really useful if you could communicate with your teammate. Of course, the best way to do this is to use voice chat or in-game chat to coordinate your attacks or maybe even swear at your opponent after the game, but this feature is currently missing from the game. Here’s everything we know about voice chat or game chat being added to MultiVersus in an update at a later date.
When will voice chat be added to MultiVersus?
There are currently no plans to add voice chat or game chat to MultiVersus. However, the game has only just entered the beta phase and will remain in open beta for several more months. There is a possibility that voice chat or some other form of game chat will be added to the game in the future. The next major update will likely arrive at the start of Season 1, although that has now been pushed back from August 9th to an undetermined date in the future. While we know that ranked mode will be included in this update, voice chat hasn’t been mentioned yet.
If players wish to communicate with their teammates via voice chat, they must use third-party methods such as an Xbox Live party or a PlayStation Network party. However, if you use cross-platform matchmaking, chances are your teammate might not be on the same platform. If this is the case, only apps like Discord will solve the problem. The MultiVersus Discord channel is a great place to start, although in order to send messages on the server you need to verify your phone number and agree to the server’s rules. For in-game communication, players currently have to use emotes, taunts, or emojis.
