“America the Beautiful”
From the producers of Planet Earth, this six-episode docuseries, narrated by Michael B. Jordan, takes an in-depth look at the geography and scenic regions of the United States, including the mountains of the Northwest, the steamy South and the deserts of the West and everything in between – with a focus on the landscapes, the wildlife and the people who care for them.

“War of stars”
It doesn’t get any more classic than this: a marathon of Star Wars movies including A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi – so why not spend a day off with Luke Skywalker? (Mark Hamil), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford)?

“Jaw”
You may not have noticed, but Steven Spielberg’s 1975 horror film is set over the course of a Fourth of July weekend when urban vacationers flock to the fictional beach town of Amity Island – only to find a great white shark. Lots of blood, suspense and action (and of course that killer shark).

“A League of Their Own”
Refresh the 1992 film before the series release in August. As America’s athletic men fight in World War II, an all-female pro baseball league forms, including sisters Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (Lori Petty) and coach Jimmy Dungan (Tom Hanks).

Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular Fireworks Display
The annual celebration combines live fireworks and musical performances. This year, pyrotechnics begin at 9:25 p.m. over the East River. Before that, several celebrity guests will join the NBC show to share their stories of life in America, including Craig Ferguson, Padma Lakshmi, Paulina Porizkova and Wolfgang Puck. Musical performances include Pitbull, 5 Seconds of Summer, Brett Eldrege and Carly Pearce, among others.

“Mr. Smith goes to Washington”
If you want to go vintage, the classic 1939 film (11 Oscar nominees) follows Jefferson Smith (James Stewart), an idealist who eventually gets nominated to the US Senate. of corruption finds when he goes to Washington. There, Senator Joseph Paine (Claude Rains) becomes his mentor, but he’s not as noble as his reputation suggests – and Smith must stand up against wrongdoing.

“Hamilton”
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning sensation tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton in an electrifying, subversive and modern way. The live video feed features the original cast: Miranda, Daveed Diggs, Jonathan Groff, Leslie Odom Jr., Anthony Ramos, Ariana DeBose and more.

“God Bird”
Not enough people have watched this 2020 historical drama miniseries. Developed and executive produced by b, starring Ethan Hawke, is set in the Civil War era and focuses on one of America’s most intriguing and least understood historical figures: abolitionist John Brown (Hawke). Daveed Diggs plays Frederick Douglass and Wyatt Russell plays Confederate General JEB Stuart.
