Mom ‘drowns 5-month-old and 2-year-old sons in bathtub’ as she makes chilling confession to husband

A MOTHER accused of drowning her two children in a bathtub has reportedly made a shocking confession to her husband.

The investigation is still in its early stages, but MPs have said the crime was premeditated.

The mother, identified as 25-year-old Courtney Williams, was reportedly arrested in California on Thursday on suspicion of manslaughter ABC10 News.

The children have been identified as five-month-old Holden and his two-and-a-half-year-old older brother, Ronin.

MPs said the children’s father called their office around noon on Thursday after coming home for lunch.

Police said Williams confessed to her husband that she “hurt the children.”

After looking around the house, deputies said the father found her in the bathtub.

The children were pronounced dead at the scene after failed attempts at resuscitation and other attempts to revive them.

“The tragic loss of five-month-old Holden and his two-and-a-half-year-old brother Ronin resonates throughout our department and in the community,” Yuba County Sheriff Wendell Anderson said in a statement.

“There are no words to adequately describe the sadness we feel for the family at this time.”

Williams was shown handcuffed in pink sweatpants with no shoes in video obtained by the news outlet.

Neighbors said they were shocked and concerned by the arrest and the allegations.

“She was simple, no facial expressions, no tears, no nothing,” said neighbor Charlene Smith.

Neighbors said the family had moved into the neighborhood in recent months and seemed friendly but private.

They said they regret not being able to see warning signs, such as not hearing children laugh.

Neighbor Krista Taraha said her son used to date Ronin and she worries about telling her child why the two can’t play anymore.

“My son will probably ride his bike there every morning and sit in his yard and yell for him like he does every day,” Taraha told the publication.
