JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Parents visit the site because Missouri schools illegally enforce mask regulations on students.

Last week, the Minister of Justice Eric Schmitt opened an email box called “legalmandates@ago.mo.gov” where people can send notices about schools that are still enforcing mask regulations.

Since then, the AG office has received 7,500 emails. The majority of these emails come from concerned parents and students who oppose mask regulations and quarantine orders.

“Last week, I empowered parents to provide information about their child’s school district and whether they will continue to enforce the mask and quarantine orders despite the recent Cole County ruling. Since then, we’ve received an overwhelming response from parents who are fed up with school districts across the state continuing to force their children to wear face masks all day or to isolate themselves while they are away. they are perfectly healthy,” said Attorney General Schmitt.

In response, the AG office sent 52 cease and desist letters to school districts around the state.

“My office worked hard to identify non-compliant school districts and sent cease and desist letters to those school districts. We will continue to fight these mask bans and quarantine orders and enforce the law,” Schmitt commented.

Because of the letters sent by the Attorney General’s Office, several school districts have overturned or plan to overturn their masking mandates, quarantine orders.
