Missing person: 1 man went missing after swimming with his family near Tiki Island, officials say

The man was reported missing around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

MPs said the man disappeared while he was swimming with his family.

His family told officers he was last seen near the railroad tracks when he decided to swim further out.

He was able to swim out about 200 meters when his family lost sight of him and has not been seen since, MPs said.

Two boats and drones from Parks and Wildlife were deployed to assist the Tiki Island Sheriff’s Office and Marine Departments in the search.

Dive crews searched for him for hours on Saturday and the search will continue on Sunday.

The man’s name was not released.
