When do you need to turn off your heating for spring?
WARMER temperatures are FINALLY on the way, so it might be time to retire your radiator and turn off the thermostat.
Sunday March 27th is the official day to turn off your heating, according to experts.
PlumbNation has decided that the average temperature is slightly higher at this time of year and there are more hours of daylight.
It is also when the clocks tickand you must put your clock forward one hour.
Jordan Chance, a PlumbNation heating expert, said: “Only turning on the heating when you need it is the best way to conserve energy.
“With spring just around the corner and the weather starting to get warmer, more and more people are leaving their heating on for shorter periods of time.
“Although there is no single temperature at which one should turn off the heat, many are targeting the DST date, which falls on March 27 this year.”
