We grew up in the same house, but we grew up differently because in my heart I was still a country girl, and he lived in Austin and he was so much cooler than me.”

So if I say the wrong things, or don’t use the right language, it’s just that I’m trying to learn… that’s me learning and figuring out how I can be a part of it. of change and being part of a community and still being the same person that I have been as an artist for the past 20 years. I don’t understand why those worlds can’t blend together. I speak up about the things I care about.”
