Actress Miranda Cosgrove quickly went viral on TikTok thanks to a sound snippet that brought new life, and now she’s responded to the video’s unexpected popularity.
Hundreds of memes circulate on TikTok every day, whether it’s a nostalgic classic from the Vine days or a new trend that breaks the mold. One trend that has seen a huge boom is the “I’m actually swearing” sound, which came from an interview with Miranda Cosgrove that was hosted by comedian Whitney Cummings.
After going viral with the amusing snippet, Cosgrove has responded to the popularity of the TikTok clip.

“Yeah, when my friend Whitney and I did this interview after we had the exchange we had and she liked to have a really hard laugh, it’s kind of funny because everyone on TikTok thinks it’s me who’s laughing,” said the iCarly actress.
“It’s my friend Whitney who’s laughing, and I keep texting her and telling her like you’ve ‘pulled me in,’ and now all of TikTok is making fun of me,” Cosgrove continued.
The clip is still making waves with TikTok users and the actor enjoys every minute of it: “But yeah it’s really funny I love watching all the videos it’s hilarious.”
With celebrities like Lizzo, Sophie Turner and husband Joe Jonas supporting the trend, fans of Cosgrove will no doubt have been thrilled when former Drake & Josh employee Josh Peck also joined in the fun.
