Mike Lindell threatens RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel with a challenge

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says he may launch a long-term bid to impeach Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel after disappointing mid-term election results.

The controversial election conspirator said McDaniel “failed in her leadership” and that he could challenge her during the party leadership election in late January.

Lindell told the National File publication that “we need someone who knows how to run a business to lead one of the most important organizations in our country.”

The pillow maker said in a live stream video this week that it wanted to hear from supporters about launching a campaign for the RNC chairman, Newsweek reported.

“One of the things I’m going to tell you, you know, [we] will never stop getting rid of these machines and making this the best election in world history in our country,” Lindell reportedly said. “We all need someone, and I would step in if God wills.”

Lindell attended 76-year-old former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign launch event last week.

A spokeswoman for McDaniel did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.

Lindell is not among the 168 voting members of the RNC, and McDaniel allies recently claimed to Politico that nearly 100 members have already pledged their support — though the number of lashes in leadership contests may prove wrong.

Politico reported that McDaniel’s potential rivals include outgoing Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), who narrowly lost a challenge to Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, and former Trump White House communications adviser Mercedes Schlapp.

Though Lindell remains ubiquitous in television commercials, he faces a potentially ruinous defamation lawsuit from voting machine maker Dominion for making false claims of 2020 voter fraud. Dominion is seeking a $1.3 billion judgment against him. (Disclosure: Dominion is also suing Fox News, which shares common property with The Post, for alleged defamation.)

Trump repeatedly credited McDaniel with helping him win in Michigan as part of his shock victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016. She remained loyal to Trump when her uncle publicly rebuked the 45th President and voted to try him in two separate Senate impeachment trials.
