MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) – Mid-Del School District will close two schools.
School district officials announced Monday night that Highland Park Elementary School and Steed Elementary School will be closing at the end of the school year.
Officials hope to save more than $1 million a year for the district by closing schools.
The district will hold its first boundary realignment meeting on Wednesday.
The changes are expected to be announced by the end of January.
Teachers and staff will likely find their new school in February.
