MICK DIERDORFF: Colorado skier named on US Olympic team shares his journey

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (KDVR) – For the second time in his career, Colorado-born Mick Dierdorff is named for USA Winter Olympic Team.

The Steamboat Springs skier is currently gearing up for the games in Beijing, and reflects on the training, injuries, and journeys that have brought him to where he is today.

Dierdorff is currently in Italy and will answer questions about his preparations for the big games at 10am on Thursday.

He will be joined by Dr. Adam Wilson and Dr. Alejandro Miranda, members of the American Ski and Snowboard team of doctors, and orthopedic surgeons at UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs . They will discuss the types of injuries these athletes face, and tips for minimizing those injuries.
