How many nominations did the film receive?
“The Blind Side” received two nominations at the 82nd Academy Awards – Best Picture and Best Actress.

Michael Oher claims he was never adopted
The NFL star reportedly claims in his petition that he was never adopted by the Tuohy family and was placed in a guardianship that “deprived him of millions of dollars.”
But in a statement to the Daily Memphian, Sean said the family was “devastated” when they learned of Oher’s claims.
“It’s troubling to think that we would make money off any of our children. But we’re going to love Michael at 37 the same way we loved him at 16,” he said.
The petition alleges that the soccer player received no payment for the film, while the Tuohys allegedly negotiated the film’s deal through an agency, earning “$225,000 plus 2.5% of all future ‘defined net proceeds'” would have received.
