Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast wins the People’s Choice Award

Meghan Markles archetypes Podcast was named Pop Podcast of the Year 2022 at the People’s Choice Awards.

The Duchess of Sussex’s Spotify-exclusive podcast was recognized during the awards ceremony on Tuesday (December 6) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The PCAs recognize influential figures in the entertainment industry and are elected by the public. Markle was not present at the event.

Other notable wins of the evening included Shania Twain with the Music Icon Award, Ryan Reynolds with the People’s Icon Award and Serena Williams with the Game Changer Award.

Markles archetypes Podcast is an interview-based format in which she and guests “examine, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back.”

The first season, which wrapped last week, had guests like Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, Trevor Noah, Paris Hilton and Jameela Jamil.

Other nominees in the category included podcasts such as Anything goes with Emma Chamberlain, Not skinny, not fat with Amy Hirsch and Why don’t you meet me with Nicole Byer?.

Markle accepted another award along with her husband Prince Harry on Tuesday night.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were honored with the 2022 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award for their humanitarian work.

However, the pair were apparently keen to avoid questions about their new Netflix documentary while they were there.

Harry & Megan scheduled for release on Thursday December 8, but off according to reporters The sun and The Daily Mailthe pair weren’t ready to talk about the upcoming documentary.
