Meet the new oldest living dog in the world, Pebbles the Toy Fox Terrier

TobyKeith the Chihuahua quickly became the oldest living dog in the world, but that was before Guinness World Records met Pebbles the toy fox terrier.
The 4-pound Taylors, South Carolina pup is now the oldest living dog at 22 years and 59 days.
Pebbles’ parents, Bobby and Julie Gregory, told Guinness they decided to contact the recording company after seeing TobyKeith’s story on the news.
“Bobby sat on the couch and friends and family started texting and calling because they saw a story about a 21-year-old dog getting the record,” Julie said.
Julie said the pocket-sized dog and her husband formed an instant connection when they visited an adoption center originally looking for a large dog.

Although Pebbles didn’t fit their ideal description, they couldn’t pass up the bug-eyed dog.
In her free time, Pebbles enjoys playing under the palm trees in the backyard, going for walks with Bobby, and sunbathing by the pool.
She also enjoys dressing up in different outfits, and a cowboy hat is her favorite accessory.

When asked about Pebbles’ longevity secret, Julie said, “Yummy [your pet] like family because they are. As much as possible, give them a happy, positive environment, good, clean food, and proper health care.”
Pebbles celebrated their record breaking feat with a special meal and bubble bath.
