Right wait for your order at McDonald’s and showing patience is nothing new. Not knowing what’s going on with your food causes most people to line up, hoping that they’re just understaffed or busy completing the “quick” portion of fast food. That’s normal.
What is not normal is a a combination of technical failure and overworked staff people take bags of food and launch them on the floor to avoid backup people. Does this happen with all of our food or just a specific McDonald’s in Dartford?

According to The Daily Mail, a driver appeared in first video comment above said the superposition was due to a bug with Just Eat, an app that handles deliveries similar to GrubHub, DoorDash, and Seamless. They also added that food on the floor was thrown in the trash, which would be equally shocking to customers.
The video was posted by 35-year-old Ryan Covill, who went to the restaurant to pick up an order that never arrived. As you can see in the video, several others have the same idea and the delivery backup is creating some obvious confusion with the delivery drivers. A confused McDonald’s employee was trying to sort the bags and started tossing them on the floor.
“She was throwing food, like it’s not anyone else’s food, someone has to eat that,” one of the men in the video said of the worker’s actions. Covill’s caption for the video explains the situation from his point of view. “After waiting for my food for over an hour and a half, I decided not to wait any longer,” he wrote.
“Ordered from Just Eat and drove down there. When I got to the Mac D restaurant literally my order was canceled so then I went to the Mac D restaurant saying they wanted to happen and yes, one girl gave me my food for free, but There were loads of drivers there waiting for the food but no one seemed to have a clue what was going on.
@McDonaldsUK Just had a nightmare at your restaurant. Just made a mobile order to your Dartford branch to say they didn’t recognize it even though I had it on my phone. After queuing for 32 minutes during your drive, I had to park and join the huge queue! Thank McDonalds

“Then she started throwing all the food on the floor. It was crazy, it was somebody’s business and they just threw away the profits and could at least give it to the driver etc but just throw it away. messing around in front of everyone, just kidding.”
The commenter who identified himself as a driver said that the bags on the floor were put in the trash and were mixed, not ordered through the McDonald’s system. “The food is not thrown on the floor then given to the customer. Obviously if that’s what you think is happening you’re crazy,” another commenter added. “Employees are clearly overwhelmed with orders that aren’t being sent to drivers so they’ve been left sitting around waiting for what happens at most McDonald’s, not just this one.”
