Sara Cox has been forced to apologize after a BBC Radio 2 listener called Matt Hancock “c***” live on air.

The former health minister has been the subject of much national debate over his performance I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.

During the Drivetime show on Friday (November 18), a listener named Jesse called from Devon to request the Queen song “Don’t Stop Me Now”.

When asked why he picked the hit track, the caller replied, “Because Matt Hancock’s ac***.”

He was immediately cut off, with Cox telling the audience, ‘Okay, so we’ve got to cut him off here.

“That’s live radio, that’s happening. My only apologies is when kids are listening in the car.”

The track played quickly, with Cox adding: “Huge apologizes. It’s live and here’s the song.”

Hancock was a late addition to the i am a celebrity Camp after joining Seann Walsh midway through week one.

The MP, who was stripped of the Tory whip for appearing on the show, was voted in by the public to attend his first six Bushtucker trials.

On Friday (November 18) he survived the first public vote when Charlene White became the first candidate to leave the jungle.

Earlier in the episode, the Permissive women The panelist had withdrawn from her bushtucker trial, screaming the words, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!”

The show will air for an additional week, with the winner being announced on Sunday November 27th.
