Massive Attack have canceled all of their tour dates through August due to one of their band members suffering from a “serious illness”.

In a post on Instagram on Thursday (March 24), the trip-hop collective wrote: “For the past few months, a member of Massive Attack has been battling a serious illness. We are happy to say that they are now recovering.

“This process is positive but also challenging and ongoing which unfortunately means that Massive Attack is currently unable to fulfill our live shows scheduled for May, June and July 2022.”

They said they “deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment – especially to the fans, who are always an honor to engage with, and to our production team who have already had to wait too long to do so due to other global events.” what they do so well”.

The band should perform in Belgium, France, Spain, Norway, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany.

Massive Attack are apparently still set to headline Edinburgh’s Connect Music Festival on August 26th and play Dublin on August 28th.

He also detailed the UK government’s response to the growing number of refugees seeking help fleeing their war-torn homes.

“DO NOT WAVE FLAGS / WAVE VISA,” he wrote in several messages to the Home Office earlier this month.
