Massachusetts man Christopher Keeley who allegedly killed a couple over a barking dog found in Florida

The fugitive accused of stabbing an elderly Massachusetts couple after an argument ensued over a barking dog was caught in Florida, police officers said.
Christopher Keeley, 27, was arrested Thursday at 8:20 p.m. in Miami Beach, over 1,500 miles from where he allegedly punched Carl and Vicki Mattson, both 70, at their Marshfield home Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said.
Police believe Keeley killed the couple after an argument over a barking dog.
The alleged brute had been living at the home on Mattson’s Gotham Hill Drive as a favor to a family member, but was recently ordered to leave the home, court documents obtained by CBS state.
Keeley was apparently afraid he would be left homeless after a woman in nearby Weymouth considered letting him stay with her but decided against it, according to CBS.

Keeley admitted to a friend that he attacked the couple after the three argued over a barking dog, the files say. Keeley also admitted to harboring violent urges, including towards the Mattsons. The friend, who asked police to do a health check on the couple, told police Keeleky behaved “psychically” and was known to carry knives.
Police found the couple stabbed to death at their home on Tuesday night, although officials believe they were assaulted over the past week. Vicki Mattson would have been 71 on Wednesday.
A dog, previously reported missing, was also found dead in the home, prosecutors said. It is unclear who owned the dog or how it died.
The murder wouldn’t be the first time Keeley has used violence after an argument.
When he was 18, Keeley smashed his grandmother’s car window after they argued over a phone charger. That’s what the Patriot Ledger reported. He was charged with negligently damaging a motor vehicle.

Keeley had at least two other serious run-ins with the law. According to the newspaper, he was arrested in 2016 at the age of 21 for planning and carrying out a gang attack on a man with autism before stealing his cell phone and wallet. A Massachusetts judge reportedly found Keeley to be “dangerous” and he was later sentenced to 18 months in a correctional facility.
Recently, Keeley faced drug charges after he was allegedly pulled over in his car with Xanax and marijuana. He was slammed with drug charges, court documents obtained by the Ledger show.
Keeley now faces an extradition hearing in Florida before being charged in Massachusetts.
