Maryland Department of Health Acts After Cyber Attack – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The Maryland Department of Health says its website is up after a cyber attack cripple some services.
The ministry announced the cyber attack on Sunday and the website has been moved to top site.
The cyberattack also took away resources that the site would normally have available, including pages inviting Marylanders to apply for Medicaid, obtaining data on local nursing home safety and requesting free testing at home to look for sexually transmitted diseases.
Ministry said yes no evidence data has been compromised, and they have yet to confirm whether a hacker has hijacked their computers for money, which is what happened to the city of Baltimore two years ago. Criminals demand $100,000 in bitcoins.
As of 8 p.m. our website, https://t.co/JBfkLZnCjd, is working again. Thank you for your patience while we work to restore it.
