Martin Kemp and Kerry Katona sign on to an adult Channel 4 show

IT is one of the rudest – and most arbitrary – TV shows Channel 4 is launching this year.

But it seems that the creators of the Really Rude Puppet Show had no trouble signing stars to participate.

Insiders revealed that Martin Kemp and Kerry Katona have signed their names for the new six-part series, in which they will read erotic fiction aloud while puppets act out the moves.

A source said: “Martin and Kerry have both agreed to be on the Really Rude Puppet Show alongside Coleen Nolan, Sam Thompson and Melvin Odoom.

“They all jumped at the chance to get involved in the project, which is turning out to be hilarious.”

Former Great British Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc will host the show, which will air later this year.

On The Really, Really Rude Puppet Show, your host will see a different celebrity each week reading erotic fan fiction about the stars themselves.

Every lurid detail is re-enacted, with celebs providing the words, which are lip-synched by the puppets.

A TV insider said at the time: “This is arguably one of the most bizarre and brilliant shows ever created and it’s certainly a departure for Mel.

“She’s joined by a famous face who must remember some of the cheeky stuff that’s been written about her over the years.”

The six will see each celebrity join Mel for a “private book club” session, with both the host and guest unaware of what story they are about to be faced with.

Mel said: “This is going to be a celebration of erotic fanfiction. With dolls. Imagine a world where Jackie Collins meets Thunderbirds.

“I am so looking forward to a trip to Love Island via Tracy Island.”
