Mark Meadows removed from North Carolina electoral rolls

Donald Trump’s former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has been removed from North Carolina’s electoral rolls, according to the State Board of Elections.

Meadows is also under investigation for allegations of voter fraud, the State Bureau of Investigation said.

The decision to remove the former North Carolina congressman and Trump adviser from the state’s voter rolls came after it was revealed that Meadows was registered to vote in September 2020 in an RV in Scaly Mountain, NC, although he wasn’t there lived.

Patrick Gannon, a spokesman for the North Carolina State Board of Elections, said the Macon County Board of Elections requested that Meadows be removed from the electoral roll because he last voted in Virginia in 2021.

“The Macon County Board of Elections removed Mark Meadows’ voter registration on March 11.

“The Macon County Board of Elections has not received a formal challenge,” he added. “We are referring questions about the investigation to the State Bureau of Investigation.”

A Meadows advisor declined to comment on the move.

Angie Grube, a spokeswoman for the State Bureau of Investigation, also said an investigation into Meadows’ voter registration is ongoing.

“The SBI has been asked by the NC Attorney General to investigate potential voter fraud allegations relating to Mark Meadows,” Grube said in a statement to Raleigh-based WRAL. “The investigations are ongoing. As the investigation continues, information will be shared with the prosecutor, who will determine if there are other people who may be the subject of the investigation. No further information is available.”
