Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) entertained Republicans in Manhattan Saturday night with a series of one-liners that trolled the political left on red-hot issues.
“I want to tell you something, if Steve Bannon and I organized this, we would have won. Not to mention we would have been armed,” she said of her role in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol.
The controversial congresswoman was one of several high-profile conservative arsonists — including Donald Trump Jr. and commentator Jack Posobiec — who slammed President Joe Biden, progressives and more at the New York Young Republican Club’s annual event.
Also in attendance were former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Bannon, James O’Keefe of Project Veritas and Congressman-elect George Santos of Nassau County.
Greene boasted about not giving “a penny” to help Ukraine fight Russia and suggested the money be better spent on attacks on drug cartels in Mexico.
“You look after a country called Ukraine, whose borders are far away and which most of you couldn’t find on any map,” added Green, who received an award from the club.
Her speech took an odd turn when she remarked that “at Target these days, you can pick up a butt plug or a dildo” while blasting transgender-friendly policies in classrooms.
Though Green is known for her divisive politics, she preached unity while debating what a GOP-controlled House could achieve next year and lamented how many other Republicans failed to support her legislative ideas.
These include a proposed law banning gender-affirming health care for transgender youth under the age of 18, which Greene likened to “genital mutilation” after earlier in her speech claimed child pornography was allegedly allowed on Twitter until billionaire Elon Musk Media platform bought.
She then called on other Republicans to support former President Donald Trump’s 2024 bid, despite calls from many party members to nominate another candidate after Republicans performed worse than expected in the midterm elections.
But as the GOP took over the House of Representatives, Greene — who was stripped of committee duties by Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi after a series of controversial statements — said she was optimistic the party would work together to “defund” the FBI along with Democrat spending priorities “.
“Having suffered under Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats for the last two years, and voting resolutely no to Joe Biden and the Democrat communist agenda, I will tell you that I am thrilled in the House over 222,” she said.
Her appearance followed remarks by Donald Trump Jr., who similarly slammed the “woke” left while expressing delight at how House Republicans might treat Hunter Biden next year.
While Musk released reams of data this week showing how Twitter executives decided to quash an exclusive 2020 story from The Post about Hunter Biden’s laptop, Trump Jr. said it was another example of how supposed Conspiracy theories can prove true.
“Holy shit…if that was my laptop I’d be in trouble,” he said.
“Hunter was allowed to sell art for 200 grand yesterday. So I thought about doing some art. I could draw with my fingers like Hunter,” Trump added.
He told the friendly audience that no matter how politically incorrect or offensive right-wing talking points were, they needed to make similar comments.
“We need people who aren’t scared out there,” Trump Jr. said.
