Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Wave 3 release date and tracks confirmed

Rainbow Road fanatics, rejoice! Nintendo has announced the release date of the latest Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. Some fan favorite courses – including 3DS Rainbow Road and DS Peach Gardens – return in Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass, along with two new tournaments, just in time for the festive season.

When is the release date of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3 DLC?

The latest 8 tracks in Wave 3 of the Booster Course DLC are scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch on December 7th, 2022. You’re just in time for a bit of holiday karting with friends – or foes if you’re prone to war recaps if, like me, you hear a blue alert.

Some of the recent speculation about new courses based on datamined leaks of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC are all but confirmed with this latest announcement that the Rainbow Road track is from 3DS-era Mario Kart 7 along with the following others seven circuits returns :

  • (Wii) Maple Treeway
  • (GBA) Boo Lake
  • (Tour) Berlin side streets
  • (3DS) Rock Rock Mountain
  • (DS) Peach orchards
  • (Tour) London Loop
  • (Tour) Merry Mountain

Elsewhere in the gaming sphere, concerns about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s memory leaks are rife. In other news, Modern Warfare 2’s CoDBall mode, which takes inspiration from Rocket League, also appears to have been leaked. So many leaks, call a plumber! (Not Chris Pratt.)
