Man’s optical illusion splits the viewer in which direction he is looking
A tricky optical illusion of a man taking a picture at sunset has viewers split over which direction he’s facing.
The picture, posted on Redditshows the silhouette of the man holding a camera in the distance as if trying to capture a sunset.
At first glance it appears as if he is facing from the front, but upon closer inspection the man appears to have his back turned to viewers.
The post is captioned, “Is he facing away from or towards the camera?”
The illusion divided opinion on the content-sharing platform, with an audience able to see both possibilities.
One person wrote: “Wow this is really good. I can swap it back and forth and still can’t really decide what’s right.”
Another was sure they figured it out, commenting: “I looked towards it at first but once I’ve looked away I can’t take my eyes off it. The cheekbones gave it away.”
Someone else agreed, declaring, “Definitely gone. It’s a bit more obvious just looking at him, but you only have to see the other people to guess that he’s obviously looking the same way they are and they’re looking away.”
Another said: “He’s looking straight at his camera and assumes he’s using a camera and not a phone.”
The photo left another viewer stumped, admitting, “I can’t tell the camera is in his hand and in silhouette.”
One person joked, “He actually looks both ways at once.”
It comes after another optical illusion left viewers scratching their heads trying to figure it out.
A clip appears to show a red box held, but the observers were stunned when it was over.
Another trippy optical illusion depicting a cat could reveal more about your true personality, a test says.
The illusion asks viewers to look in the direction the animal is moving and claims it says something important about you.
In another mind-blowing optical illusion, a Video of a black and white horse on a black background shows the animal marching to cheerful music.
But where is the horse going – backwards or forwards?
