A 14-year-old boy is hospitalized after being stabbed in front of horrified teachers and classmates in south Manchester.

It is understood that the offender entered the school and put a knife to the victim’s neck while the students were sitting for the exam.

Emergency services rushed to the incident at the Manchester Academy on Moss Side at around 9.40am yesterday morning.

The boy was taken to hospital, where his injuries are said to be serious but not life-threatening.

A 13-year-old male student was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and possession of an article with traces. Two other boys, aged 13 and 12, were also arrested on suspicion of assault.
