Man Utd join Antonio Rudiger transfer race in an attempt to squeeze defender from Chelsea on a free transfer

MANCHESTER UNITED is the surprise candidate in the race to sign Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea.
That is if the reports in Germany are to be believed.
The Defender of the Blues is out of contract next summer and is currently stalling on signing a new one.
Reports suggest that the 28-year-old player is leaning towards Real Madrid after holding ‘active talks’ with the LaLiga giants.
But German TV station Sky Sports Man United is about to win the Champions League.
Chelsea are believed to have signed a new contract worth around £140,000 a week to keep Rudiger at Stamford Bridge.
That seems to have fall into deaf ears in the player’s camp, with Real confidently landing their men.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to make the list but the Germany international thinks Spain will be his next destination.

There’s a fascinating angle to the Reds’ proposed matchup.
Interim coach Ralf Rangnick previously led Stuttgart, the German team where Rudiger made his name before moving to Roma in 2015.
Rangnick led the Mercedes-Benz Arena from 1999 to 2001.
It was long before Rudiger joined the club as a youngster, but there is a degree of history in common between the men.
