Man Utd fans sent to sleep at Old Trafford as stats show goals per game under Rangnick vs. Solskjaer

After Ralf Rangnick declared: “Everyone at Manchester United would be happy if we finished fourth”, the club announced plans to punish supporters to stay away.

From next season, season tickets to Old Trafford will be revoked for anyone who leaves a seat empty in ten Premier League matches.

Is it a threat or a promise?

Because watching this lot go from their normal path to be as enjoyable as a trip to the dentist.

And the famous old stadium only retains the nickname ‘Theater of Dreams’ because too many bettors have nodded and left.

How did a team with the attacking talents of Cristiano RonaldoBruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho can be damn boring?

And how is it that the 4th most expensive defender in the world and the highest paid goalkeeper are allowed to be protected as complete strangers?

Outside Win 3–0 against Tottenhamwhen their opponent played to get the Nuno Espirito Santo, when was the last time United really beat anyone?

Results may have improved slightly since Rangnick to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the level of entertainment has plummeted under the interim manager.

Within weeks of his arrival, he abandoned the 4-2-2-2 formation that had kept him in such fine form throughout his coaching career.

Now, who can guess how the team will line up, as Ralf is confused trying to accommodate all the egos.

In the past week, they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough and held the bottom team Burnley.

On both occasions, Rangnick was bewildered by VAR Stuart Attwell’s “interesting” interpretation of the rules.

But the rest of the country is happier, because there’s nothing we love more than seeing mighty men slain.

It’s easy to forget that just last season, United finished runners-up to Prem, leading to the disastrous decision to hand Solskjaer a new contract extension.

Wayne Rooney revealed that he saw the rotting setup a long time ago back in 2010 and Sir Alex Ferguson also knew they were on the decline when he quit after the club’s final league title in 2013.

Forget the traditional rivalries with Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea – now it arranges on West Ham, Spurs, Arsenal and Wolves.

Perhaps things would have been different had someone at the club had the idea to appoint Mauricio Pochettino by the time he was sacked by Spurs in 2019.

Now they are pinning their belated hopes on the Argentinian leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer to eventually lead Old Trafford.

But United remained committed to keeping Rangnick as a ‘senior football adviser’ for two years.

And the first piece of advice he should give Poch is: “Don’t think about it.”
