Man stabbed in the back on NYC train: police officers

A man was stabbed in the back at a Manhattan subway station on Thursday, police said.

The straphanger was stabbed to death around 1 p.m. by a male assailant at the 125th Street A, B, C and D stations in Harlem, authorities said.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside where his condition was listed as stable.

The suspect ran out of the station after the attack and has yet to be caught. According to police, he was last seen wearing blue glasses, blue jeans and a blue jacket.

The motive for the attack in broad daylight was not immediately clear.

The incident comes less than a week after a homeless man out on bail in another subway dispute allegedly fatally stabbed a father of two on a Brooklyn L train. Man stabbed in the back on NYC train: police officers
