Man shot dead in Glenwood South area of ​​Raleigh on Saturday morning, police say

RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) — A shooting in Raleigh’s bustling entertainment district of Glenwood South on Saturday morning sent a man to the hospital, according to Raleigh Police.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 500 block area of ​​Glenwood Avenue

The video, broadcast to CBS 17 by viewer Tyler White, showed the area near the Carolina Ale House cordoned off with crime scene tape. At least five Raleigh police cruisers were at the scene along with approximately 10 officers.

Police said they weren’t sure what led to the shooting or the extent of the victim’s injuries.

There is currently no suspicious information.
