Man seriously injured in second shooting in Durham in two hours, police say

DURHAM, NC (WNCN) — Another shooting occurred less than two hours after a fatal shooting of an SUV driver in Durham on Monday, police said.
The initial shooting just before 5pm left the driver of a jeep dead and NC 55 was closed, according to Durham Police.
The second shooting, which was reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday, left one man with serious injuries, according to a Durham Police press release.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Ridgeway Avenue and Wabash Street, the press release said.
A man who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital, the press release said. About 20 items of evidence used to mark shell casings were visible at the crime scene.
The intersection of Ridgeway Avenue and Wabash Street has been closed. According to the police, investigations are ongoing.
