Man in his 20s killed in stabbing on highway as police hunt for attacker in murder investigation

COPS is hunting for a killer after a 20-year-old was slashed to death on a busy street.

The victim, 20, died following a knife attack around 5pm today on Wattling Avenue near Burtn Oak Station in Edgeware, North London.

A Met spokesman said: “An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Burnt Oak.

“Police were called to a report of a stabbing at approximately 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 18 on Watling Avenue, Burnt Oak.

“Staff and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed to be around 20 years old, was found with multiple stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was died at the scene.

“Detectives are awaiting official identification and confirmation that his family has been notified. They will be assisted by specialist officers.

“The crime scene remains intact. No arrests have been made at this early stage. Investigations continue.
