Man hospitalized after being attacked by NYPD in Brooklyn

An NYPD cruiser crashed into a pedestrian in Brooklyn on Tuesday afternoon while responding to a robbery, authorities said.
The victim, a 60-year-old man, was crossing 86th Street in Bath Beach at around 3:20 p.m. when he was struck by the marked police SUV, officers said.
The police vehicle had its sirens and lights activated at the time of the collision, officials said.




The pedestrian was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Investigators examined a plastic bag and pillow that were left on the street in front of the vehicle, photos showed.
