Man found dead in New York subway station
A man was found fatally dismembered in a Greenwich Village subway station, police said on Friday.
The unidentified victim was discovered around 12:10 a.m. Thursday with fatal lacerations to his torso in a secluded area of the West Fourth Street and Sixth Avenue station in Manhattan near the stairwell ramp area from the platform, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said the incident was ruled a homicide.
Authorities did not immediately know what led to the murder, and no arrests were made.
