Man clings to life after hit-and-run in New York: police officers

A man was struggling to survive after being hit by a hit-and-run driver in Lower Manhattan early Sunday, police officers said.
The 53-year-old victim was hit at around 4:45 a.m. on Third Avenue and St. Mark’s Place, according to police.



He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
The driver who hit him left the scene and there was no description of the vehicle, police officers said.
