Man attacks NYC T-Mobile executive and throws trash can through window

An Upper West Side T-Mobile executive was attacked after a confused man ran amok, two sources said.
According to a witness, the ugly episode happened around noon on Saturday at the T-Mobile store on West 77th Street and Broadway.
The mad man argued with the store manager and then punched him in the head, the witness told The Post.
“Then he went outside and grabbed a metal trash can on the corner and first smashed the door and then threw it through the main window and the door window,” the woman added.
“I am deeply unhappy. Every day on Broadway between West 72nd Street and West 79th Street there are homeless people who are high on meth and are a danger to our elderly and children,” the woman said.
The extent of the victim’s injuries or whether an arrest resulted was not immediately available.

“We’re fine. Everyone’s fine,” said a T-Mobile employee who answered the phone Saturday afternoon. The employee confirmed that his manager was assaulted and “someone threw a garbage can at the store.”
The store will be closed from 2 p.m., the employee said.
Serious crimes in the 20th Precinct rose 17 percent through Nov. 6, police data show.
The NYPD did not immediately have details of the incident.
