DENVER (KDVR) – Denver police said Saturday they arrested a suspect on first-degree murder charges after he was involved in a fight Friday night in the 30th and 30th Avenue area. Downing Street.
Ahmed Abdishakur, 47, was arrested without incident when the man he was fighting was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.
Abdishakur was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to a captured affidavit, the fight began inside a store. Abdishakur is seen on video pulling out a knife and lunging at the victim. He then chases the victim and the fight eventually ends outside.
Police expect to identify the victim at a later date.
