Man arrested for “dangling a three-week-old baby by his feet while a woman begs him to stop” in disturbing video.

A MAN has been arrested after harrowing video showed a three-week-old baby dangling upside down by his feet.

A three-minute clip posted to social media on Friday also showed a man swinging the tot in a circle with his head unsupported while a woman begged him to stop.

At the beginning of the video, the man appears to be in love with the child before picking him up and turning him upside down.

In the video, a woman is heard anxiously saying, “Dear God above,” before adding, “Don’t baptize the child like that, whatever you do.”

Then the man lifts the child up and down by his feet and pretends to dip him in water and says, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

The woman is heard saying, “You’re a bad ass, you know that? You’re a bad ass”.

She continues to film as the man swings the baby by his feet before the woman says, “Stop, stop, I’m going to send this to your sister.”

The man then cuddles with the baby before slowly increasing their interaction again.

He picks him up by his pajamas and rocks the baby in a circle with his head back.

The woman says: “Stop it, that’s not funny, although I’m laughing, oh, that’s dangerous”.

The now-deleted video sparked an investigation by police officers and social workers.

The baby is understood to have now been removed from the home in north east Ireland and taken into care Irish mirror reports.

A police spokesman said: “Gardai is investigating an incident of alleged child neglect in the northeast of the country.

“A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with this incident.

“Due to the sensitivity of this incident, no further details can be released at this time.”
