Man arrested, charged in fatal Robeson Co. shooting

FAIRMONT, NC (WNCN) — A man has been arrested in South Carolina in connection with a fatal shooting in Fairmount, NC

MPs said they responded to a call to shoot and found Darrell Ford, 32, with gunshot wounds in a driveway.

Ford was taken to a hospital and later died from his injuries, according to MPs.

According to deputies, officers with the Lake View Police Department have arrested 47-year-old James Allen Fulton in South Carolina in connection with the shooting.

Fulton has been charged with second-degree murder, lawmakers said.

MPs said the shooting was related to an “ongoing family dispute.”
