Man, 18, Arrested in Baltimore Police Lieutenant’s Husband’s Murder – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – An 18-year-old Baltimore man was arrested last month killed the husband of a Baltimore police lieutenantauthorities said on Wednesday.
Baltimore police said Sahiou Kargbo was taken into custody Wednesday for first-degree murder and other charges related to the January 25 shooting of 43-year-old James Blue.

Blue was shot multiple times around 2:43 p.m. that day while waiting outside the home he recently purchased on the 1400 block of Walker Avenue in Northeast Baltimore.
The father of three and the husband of Baltimore Police Lieutenant Lekeshia Blue is was believed to be awaiting delivery of the device and was on the phone with his son when he was shot.

Blue’s kill takes the lead authorities issue $18,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction in the case.
It was not immediately clear on Wednesday what led investigators to Kargbo. Court records show that a warrant for his arrest was issued three days after Blue was murdered.
Sargo was charged with first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault and various gun counts, court records show.

A preliminary hearing on the case is scheduled for March 1.
