Machine Gun Kelly revealed why he smashed a champagne flute over his head, leaving a laceration on his forehead.

After performing at Madison Square Garden, Kelly was filmed speaking at the afterparty at Catch Steakhouse in New York. “I’m not giving up,” Kelly was heard screaming as he broke the glass over his head.

Appears onLate Night with Seth Meyers On Wednesday (June 29th), the musician explained that he was trying to attract everyone’s attention, but had no fork to rattle his glass with.

“You know, poking a champagne glass with a fork [get people’s attention]?” Kelly, real name Colson Baker, said. “Yeah, well, I didn’t have a fork. So I just put it on my head.”

Meyers replied, “You know, in medicine it’s called ‘asking’.”

“Yeah, well I had a serious case of it last night,” laughed Kelly.

The “Bloody Valentine” singer posted a video of the incident to Instagram, along with photos of his bleeding head.

Before the show at Madison Square Garden, Kelly hosted the premiere of his new Hulu documentary life in pink.

In the documentary, Kelly opens up about a night in July 2020 when he put a gun in his mouth while on the phone with fiancé Megan Fox.

When asked about the incident and how they dealt with it at the premiere, actor Fox said the couple went through “every form of therapy there is.”
