That’s as good as you’d expect from this cast and crew, which is saying something.” That’s for sure.
Of course McDormand is not new to Shakespeare. As she explains in an episode of Team Deakins podcast, she first met Bard, like most of us, in an English class. It was here, while reading Lady Macbeth’s dramatic sleepwalking scene, that she was drawn to her feet and fell in love with the profession of acting. “I was a very shy, sassy kid and this was the first time I felt the power of being on stage,” adding, “It was really the hook that got in my way and I haven’t understood it since then. ”
Macbeth’s Tragedy also the stars Corey Hawkins, Moses Ingram, Ralph Ineson, Sean Patrick Thomas, Harry Melling, Bertie Carvel, Hunter Kathryn, Brendan Gleeson, and Stephen Root. In addition to the film’s one-day special, the film will have a limited theatrical release on December 25, followed by a streaming release on Apple TV+ on January 14.
