Lucas Moura’s wife reacts with three words after being thrilled by what happened to the £23million Arsenal star

Lucas Moura’s wife Larissa Moura has praised Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes on Instagram after he made his debut for Brazil during the international break.

The Arsenal star was also congratulated by his own partner Gabrielle Figueiredo, who she added described his defining moment as “wonderful”. Instagram.

This was a deserved nomination for Gabriel Magalhaes as he has become a key player for Mikel Arteta and their rise to the top of the Premier League table in recent years.

Some would argue that his call-up was a long time coming and he should have been selected for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

But in an ironic circumstance, Arteta will eventually be called up as soon as he decides to bench Gabriel for the start of the new Premier League season.

Either way, it’s well deserved for the player and there’s no doubt there’s much more to come – Gabriel’s debut was a 5-1 win over Bolivia before helping his country to three points and a clean sheet against Peru on Wednesday – both World Cup qualifiers .

Gabriel praised him after his Brazil debut

“God bless you,” Larissa Moura wrote in the comments section of Gabriel’s IG post, complemented with praying hands emojis, while Gabriel’s wife added: “Wonderful” and Fulham striker Carlos Vinicius applauded his compatriot.

Arsenal have a busy month ahead

Gabriel may have been absent from Arsenal’s first games of the new season, but he returned to the starting line-up for their last game against Manchester United.

One would expect the £23million star (BBC Sport) will retain his place for this weekend’s dreaded trip to Goodison Park.

But there is also the expectation that Champions League football returns next week, so Arteta may have to rotate ahead of a busy schedule.
