Love Island viewers poked fun at Liam’s pronunciation of #esseexeducation

Liam Llewellyn spent most of his third day at the island of love Villa in its doldrums.

After Davide Sanclimenti invited Gemma Owen to join the couple on Tuesday (June 7), Liam was newly single and feeling down until he received two messages in the final minutes of Wednesday’s (June 8) episode.

The first text informed him that the public had voted for him to go on a date with Afia Tonkmor, one of the new bombshells whose arrival was being teased. The second text informed him that the public had voted for him to also go on a date with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, the second bombshell to be introduced.

As Ekin-Su is from Essex, the text message was tagged with #essexeducation. However, Liam read the lyrics aloud: “It sex education.”

“The way Liam said IT SEX EDUCATION. I cry,” wrote one Viewers.

“He is the true definition of Blesse your Cotton Socks” wrote another.

Liam had no idea Ekin-Su was from Essex, information that would have made pronouncing the hashtag a bit easier.

Earlier this week, fans appreciated Liam’s admission that for most of his life he thought Elton John was two people: “Elt and John.”

His last-minute mispronunciation was the culmination of an episode barred from intrigue, save for a confrontation between Luca and Andrew.

“If you were my mate outside I would be absolutely furious,” Luca said after Andrew apparently tried to cause a rift between Luca and Tasha.
